Tolarin

Tolarin was born to a halfling farming family in the small town of Ashabenford, located in the verdant fields of the Dalelands of the Forgotten Realms. As a child, Tolarin was always curious and adventurous, and he spent many hours exploring the countryside around his village.

One fateful day, when Tolarin was just ten years old, he was kidnapped by a group of monks who had been passing through the area. These monks were members of a secretive cult known as The Brotherhood, which sought to train young children in the ways of martial arts and subterfuge for their own nefarious purposes.

Tolarin was taken to The Brotherhood’s hidden monastery, where he was trained in the ways of the monk. He was a natural at martial arts, and quickly rose through the ranks of The Brotherhood’s hierarchy. However, Tolarin was never truly loyal to The Brotherhood, and he always harbored a secret desire to escape.

Years passed, and Tolarin became a skilled and deadly warrior. He was especially adept at the use of the quarterstaff, which he had trained with extensively. It was during this time that Tolarin met Gunx, a young Dragonborn who had been brought to the monastery years after Tolarin’s arrival.

Tolarin took Gunx under his wing, and the two quickly became close friends. Tolarin saw something in Gunx that reminded him of his own lost innocence, and he vowed to protect him from The Brotherhood’s more cruel and abusive members.

As the years went by, Tolarin and Gunx began to plot their escape. They knew that leaving The Brotherhood would be incredibly dangerous, and that they would have to be careful if they were to succeed.

One night, Tolarin and Gunx made their move. They snuck out of the monastery under cover of darkness, evading the guards and making their way into the surrounding countryside. The journey was long and treacherous, but Tolarin and Gunx were determined to make it to safety.

They eventually found refuge in Neverwinter, where they were taken in by Dannak the White, who gave them jobs as professional pugilists. Tolarin and Gunx were finally free, but they knew that The Brotherhood would not rest until they were found.

Now, Tolarin and Gunx travel together, always on the move and always watching their backs. Tolarin’s loyalty to Gunx is unshakeable, and he will stop at nothing to keep his friend safe. Though he is haunted by the memories of his past, Tolarin is determined to make a new life for himself and Gunx in the world outside The Brotherhood.
